I teach a class on Tuesdays and Thursdays at a charter school. It's a small keyboard class with 4 students. I really love my kids. :) They're so cute and sweet and they're all making great progress!
That's not the point.
The point is... I drive up to Higley and Brown for this class (which isn't the point either). I have a very specific routine for my drive to the school. I leave my house at about 8am, stop by Starbucks on Greenfield & 60, and continue on my way up to the school. The last half mile is particularly unnerving, seeing as there are a lot of kids on their way to school around that time.
My official point is... what the heck is up with all of these kids, riding bikes, talking on cell phones??????? I just can't believe the number of kids talking on their cell phones as they ride their bikes along... let alone a busy street! I mean, come on!! I can understand giving your kid a prepaid phone for emergencies only. But, to chat and socialize... oh my gosh.
Ok, I'm done ranting for the time being. :)

My New Favorite Movie Is....
*drumroll*
August Rush!
Well, it isn't actually my ultimate favorite movie of all time (there are about three or four others that really top the list). However, it is certainly the best new movie I've seen in a long time. Of course, I love that it's about a modern-day mozart who tries to find his long-lost parents. It's a total feel good movie and has an amazing cast, including the absolutely adorable little boy from Finding Neverland. I definitely recommend it.
As for books, I've picked up Anna Karenina. It's kind of long. Take that back - it's hideously long, but it's a classic and I thought it was high time that I sucked it up and just read the darn thing. I'll let you know how terrible it is when I finish it in a year.

Seder Dinner
I know it's a little late to be posting this, but I just have to say that I love Niel Pitchell. He's the nicest man alive and Adam and I both appreciate it whenever he speaks. He's so genuine and so passionate about the Lord, he's inspiring and infectious!
Adam and I loved the service last Sunday. We both drank in the symbolism and the rich heritage of the jewish seder dinner. It was inspiring enough to get us planning our own, more intimate seder dinner next year! Although, I've only had lamb once... and I don't remember if I liked it or not. :)
The service certainly set the mood and has made us meditate on the sacrifice that was made on our behalf. Praise the Lord for setting aside His throne, to humble Himself to the point of servanthood, die the most terrible death imaginable, and then be raised the third day - and now His blood covers our sin and allows us to approach His throne of grace with boldness. What a mighty, loving, and sovereign God we serve!!

My Most Frequently Watched YouTube Videos
I hope you enjoy!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGOohBytKTU - It's Business Time!!!! (Aaron G. showed this video to me - possibly one of the most funny things I have ever seen)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TagBFTSt0wE - Christopher O'Riley playing Karma Police by Radiohead - his own arrangement. Listen to the whole thing... it's amazingly beautiful.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQAJTL5ztBY - The Five Browns - a very mormon family, however, they all have their masters degrees from Juliard (all 5 siblings!!) in piano performance. This is them playing Rhapsody in Blue, which is one of my favorite songs of all time.

Sleepover Party!!!
Adam had to go out of town yesterday to help with a Desert Schools branch in Payson. He had to stay overnight so that he could provide "post support" the next day. He knew it wouldn't take long and decided that it would be fun to go play in the woods for the rest of the day, which is great! I love it when he gets to enjoy himself, because I feel like he's always working or studying. These days are great mini-vacations for him.
Anyways, that's the intro to how my "sleepovers" got started. Whenever Adam goes out of town, I have a hard time adjusting. I don't like sleeping by myself in an empty house - I can't imagine too many other married women who feel differently. So, ever since we've been married, the dogs have been my companions whenever he goes out of town. Last night was no exception. They move around just enough to make me feel like there's actually someone else there (in my stupor) and they are so affectionate and protective. They're always sooooo excited to be up on the bed in the "forbidden" room!! It's a special treat for them, and I have to admit that I have a lot of fun letting them do something special - it makes Adam going out of town a little more bearable.
Here's a pic of our happenin' "party" last night:

The Renaissance Festival & the "Tramp Stamp"
Adam and I went to the Renaissance Festival yesterday which was... interesting. We walked around and mostly talked about the fact that you spend $40 to go, and then they want you to spend even more money on midevil trinkets and clothing and armor (I tried to pursuade Adam to get himself a full suit of armor, but he didn't seem too keen on that idea... can't imagine why!!!). Also, there are so many truly weird people walking around. I mean, I expected the vendors and actors to all be dressed up, but there were visitors dressed up as well!
Now, I don't have the best looking body in the world (hehe), but at least I know it and am willing to cover myself up. Some of these women... oh my gosh!!!! I'm so sorry to be judgemental, but I just couldn't help myself yesterday! There were girls who weighed a lot more than I do walking around in halter tops made out of gypsy sarongs and little leather bikini tops. I just don't understand... I don't know if I ever will.
There were some positives though! We shared a turkey leg and a pretzel. And I got a frozen piece of cheesecake dipped in chocolate - yum!!! I also paid an outrageous amount of money for a henna "tattoo" - displayed below.

I was so excited to get it that I wasn't really thinking about the after-care. I ended up having to lay back on the seat without my lower back touching whatsoever for the entire 40 minute drive home. When I got home, I had to sit up straight without letting my back touch the seat (which I guess could be a good thing - nice posture, and all!). I had to do that for 8 hours!!! It looks nice today though and I'll enjoy it for the next week or so. :)

LOST
Hello all!
The only thing that I can think to write about is Lost!!! Ok, so I'm really irritated that Locke is becomming so much like Ben! I think they're both going crazy. :( I can't decide if Ben is horrible or just desperate. And I'm very concerned that Aaron is with Kate. I totally believe that something horrible has happened on the island that they feel the need to conceil. Maybe something like the "purge" from before.
Also, I'm really diggin' Jeremy's "Snowglobe" theory. I definitely believe that there are portals all over the world that lead to the island - which would explain Charlotte finding the polar bear fossil in the desert and Eko's brother's plane finding it's way there from Africa.
